50 Year Reunion Run

Time/date: 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM, 28 May 2022

Join the Townsville Road Runners for the celebration of 50 years of running Townsville.

Start with this run on Saturday morning, a dinner / social this Saturday night and a "recovery" run tomorrow (Sunday) morning.


Long Course 7.9 Km

Start at Strand Park and follow Burke Street to the very end, then up some steps to a path below Castle Hill Road. Turn left and follow the path onto Stanly Street. Continue on Stanley Street, through the cutting to Flinders Street, turn right, then left into Little Fletcher Street and past the cinema. Cross the foot bridge, then follow the path past the stadium. Say gooday to JT. Cross Rooney Street and continue on the boardwalk and path to Dean Street. Cross the Denham Street bridge, turn right into Flinders Street, continue past the aquarium, then into King Street and then into Sir Leslie Thiess Drive. Turn left into the car park at Enterprise House, then onto the Strand path to finish at Strand Park.

Short Course 4.1 Km

Start at Strand Park and follow Burke Street to the very end, then up some steps to a path below Castle Hill Road. Turn left and follow the path onto Stanly Street. Continue on Stanley Street, through the cutting to Walker Street, turn left and continue on Walker Street to Denham Street. Turn left and continue past the cathedral onto Oxley Street. Turn left onto the Strand path to finish at Strand Park.
